September 22, 2007 Board Meeting Notes

Officers in Attendance: President Peter Dobrynski, Vice President Ted Fajardo, Treasurer Laura Pavelko, and Secretary Nicole Potochar

The meeting was called to order at 12 pm as the Inaugural meeting of the club.

Old Business: None

New Business:

• Quarterly Treasury Report- Itemized and emailed to all board members.  First Quarterly Report estimated to be completed Mid-October.

• Cathy Smith working on fundraiser items, i.e., magnetic bumper stickers.

• Holiday Gathering- scheduled tentatively for December 13, 2007.  Location To Be Determined.

• Spring Show- scheduled for the first week in May of 2008 at the Engleside Inn, Long Beach Island, NJ.  Possibly 2 days, meeting and dinner, may include Shiloh Shepherds as well.  *Engleside Inn is animal friendly facility and will allow our King Shepherds to stay with us.  However, we will be required to stay on the 2nd or 3rd Floor. Keep in mind this is an elite hotel located on the beach.  However, they do not offer an elevator to the rooms since you enter the rooms from the outside.  Easy accessibility to walk our furry family members.

• Tom will be working on Lapel Pin representing KSCI, image to be determined.

• Member picture of dogs, for calendar.

• Discussed the process of DNA Testing. 

• Small gene pool so mutually agreed upon to maintain good relations amongst AKSC and KSCI, allowing dual membership.

The meeting was adjourned at 12:45 pm.
