Recipe
Yummy Peanut Butter Dog Cookies
1 to 1-½ cups flour
¾ cup oatmeal
¼ cup wheat germ
¼ cup crunchy peanut butter
¼ cup vegetable oil
¼ cup honey
1 tsp baking powder
½ cup water
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325° F (165° C).
Combine all ingredients and mix on low until blended. Form into tablespoon-sized balls and place on un-greased cookie sheet. Flatten balls to ¼" using tines of fork.
Bake for 15 - 20 minutes, or until golden brown. Makes about 20 cookies.
Please, if there is something missing that you feel is important, let the newsletter design team know. We are always looking for new ideas and volunteers to help.

Welcome Letter
by Peter Dobrzynski
How to describe it?
"The Genesis of a Breed" No, it's not exactly of biblical proportions.
"King Shepherd Reloaded" Nope, no computer dogs here.
I've got it! "Return of the King"
After several years of hearing breeders of other dog breeds say, "what happened to the Kings" we've finally decided to take steps to ensure both soundness and health and consistency of conformation in this regal breed.
Our new organization will be dedicated to the breed, not to the greed. All breedings will be approved by carefully considering both health and conformation issues, not on who has puppy contracts to fulfill.
Our shows will be run professionally with real, unbiased judging, also by professionals.
Our officers will be approachable, responsive and supportive. The board members are there to complete projects, help make decisions and liaise between the general membership and officers when needed.
We know our mere existence will bring reformation, and re-evaluations by other groups. That already has started and as they say, "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery."
To sum it up, we are on track and we expect the membership to keep us there.
